The Babylonian Religion started at the time of the Tower of Babel. It was called the religion of Baal. Baal came from the name Baalzebub which is a name for Satan.

One of the prominent things in Baal worship is their worship of goddesses. The Baal religion believed in many gods and that GOD WAS ALSO A WOMAN. THE VIRGIN and in particular THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN was looked to as a goddess.

The female deity Ishtar of Babylon was a Baal high priestess. She was also known as THE VIRGIN who was worshipped. She had the title the Queen of Heaven, and was known as the goddess of fertility. In Baal they had many temple priestesses who served as temple prostitutes. Having sex with a temple prostitute was a part of Baal worship.

Ishtar was known as the goddess of love, war, fertility and sexuality. In the Babylonian temple, she "was looked to as the divine personification of the planet Venus".^[2] Ishtar'scult involved sacred prostitution because sexual immorality was an part of their religion.

In her youth it is said that the goddess ISHTAR had loved TAMMUZ THE SUN GOD of the Baal religion.

ACTS12:4. REFERS TO THE 'WINTER SOLTICE' CELEBRATION. IT WAS AT THIS TIME OF YEAR WE KNOW AS EASTER, WHEN ISHTAR, THE VIRGIN QUEEN OF HEAVEN WAS CELEBRATED. WINTER SOLTICE WAS THE TIME OF YEAR WHEN THERE WAS THE GREATEST SEXUAL IMMORALITY BECAUSE THIS IMMORALITY WAS A PART OF THEIR WORSHIP TO ISHTAR. A WINTER SOLTICE IS STILL A MAJOR RELIGIOUS HOLIDAY. THIS IS THE REASON THAT THE SPRINGTIME HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS ARE TO THIS DAY WHEN THE MOST PARTYING AND SEXUAL IMMORALITY GOES ON.

The WORSHIP OF THE VIRGIN, THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN is an ancient practice which started thousands of years before Christ was born.

WORSHIP OF this pagan QUEEN OF HEAVEN is talked about in the scriptures.
*Jeremiah 44:25… "burn incense to THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN."

THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN ISHTAR has been identified with the Phoenician goddess ASTARTE; the Semitic goddess ASHTORETH; the goddess ISIS of Egypt; the goddess of GREECE was APHRODITE, and the goddess VENUS of Rome. These goddesses in these different nations are actually the same Babylonian goddess ISHTAR, but they were just given different names in the different nations. They were all called THE VIRGIN, THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN. The goddess ASHTAROTH is TALKED ABOUT IN THE BIBLE. Ashtaroth was also called the Queen of Heaven. ASHTAROTH also was a mother figure. She was portrayed CRADLING BAAL. Ashtaroth was known as THE GODDESS OF LUST.

ISRAEL became corrupted by worshipping the SUN GOD Tammuz and The Queen of Heaven ASHTAROTH. Ezek 8:14

*Judges 10:6 "And the children of ISRAEL DID EVIL again in the sight of the LORD, and SERVED BAALIM AND ASHTAROTH…and forsook the LORD, "

*1 Samuel 7:3 "And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then PUT AWAY the strange gods and ASHTAROTH (the Queen of Heaven) from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only:

*1 Samuel 12:10 "And they cried unto the LORD, and said, We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD, and have served BAALIM and ASHTAROTH: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee."

ADULTERY, FORNICATION, & PROSTITUTION are an integral part of Baal worship.

*Jeremiah 5:7 "How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then COMMITTED ADULTERY, and assembled themselves by troops in the HARLOT'S HOUSES".

The Baal religion was exported from Babylon to Egypt. In Egypt ISIS was also called The Virgin; The Queen of Heaven. Isis was a prostitute high priestess in the Temple of Baal in Egypt.

Egyptians thought that it was ISIS who put the Pharoahs into power.

ISIS was also worshipped as the patroness of nature and magic. She was worshipped throughout the GREEK AND ROMAN WORLD.

ASHTAROTH was THE CANAANITE'S Virgin, Queen of Heaven who was their goddess of fertility, love, and war exactly like Ishtar and Isis. 1 Kings 11:5-6, 33; 2 Kings 23:13

The Egyptians gave Ashtaorth the title "Queen of Heaven" and "Lady of Heaven". The Babylonians and Assyrians called her Ashtar and worshiped her as the goddess of fertility and love. Jeremiah 7:18-19

The Israelites worshiped Ashtaroth. When Solomon was old he promoted the worship of the Queen of Heaven Ashtaroth (1 Kings 11:5 ). Later Josiah destroyed the shrines built to her (2 Kings 23:13 ).

In ISLAM Mohammad's daughter FATIMA is called QUEEN OF HEAVEN. It's interesting to note that some Catholic churches are named "OUR LADY OF FATIMA".

WORSHIP OF THE VIRGIN AND THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN ENTERED CHRISTIANITY under CONSTANTINE A SUN WORSHIPPER. Constantine gave the great Roman temples and shrines of their Queens of Heaven, the goddesses Fortuna and Diana, to Rome's Christian Church. He had these pagan temples 'christianized' them by renaming them after MARY. Some Christian churches are called "NOTRE DAME", a French word which means "OUR LADY". "Notre Dame" or "Our Lady" are applied to Fortuna, Diana, Madonna, Isis, Ishtar, Fatima, Mary and any other goddess.

It was not until the Fourth Century under Constantine that Mary began to be looked upon with goddess status and people started WORSHIPPING HER and OFFERING HER CAKES at shrines to her just like was done to Ishtar, Isis, Ashtaroth and the others that held the title Queen of Heaven.

*Jeremiah 44:19 "And when we burned incense to THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we MAKE HER CAKES TO WORSHIP HER, and pour out drink offerings unto her,"

MARYOLOGY did not become an official doctrine in the Roman Church until 431 A.D. It's interesting that Maryology started at EPHESUS. EPHESUS, TURKEY is the city which had been the headquarters of the pagan GODDESS DIANA. (Acts 19:27-28, 34-35)

NIMROD, Noah's great grandson, was the founder of the Baal religion. Nimrod's wife was SEMARAMIS. Semaramis was supposed to have conceived Tammuz after Nimrod died, so Semamaris told everyone that Tammuz' birth was a miracle, because she said she did not conceive him natural from a man, but that Tammuz was conceived by the SUN GOD. (The Sun God was a part of Baal worship. Ex. 8:16). Semaramis said that because of this, she conceived Tammuz as a virgin, so she told everyone that TAMMUZ WAS THE SON OF GOD. This shows when and where the phrases THE VIRGIN, THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN, THE MOTHER OF GOD, and MADONNA originated. (It would be impossible for Semaramis to be a virgin because she had previously been married to Nimrod and had also served as a temple prostitute).

Saying Semaramis bore Tammuz as a virgin, and that Tammuz was the son of God, was nothing but Satan, counterfeiting what God was going to do using Mary to bring God's ONLY BEGOTTEN SON Jesus Christ (Jn 3:16) into the world. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost and NOT by the Sun God. Semaramis' claim, which was fraudulent, WOULD HAVE MADE TAMMUZ THE SON OF SATAN HIMSELF.

SEMARAMIS was also known as BAALTI, a name which was derived from Baal. In English BAALTI means, " MY LADY". My Lady in Latin is "MEA DOMINA," which became known as MADONNA.

Constantine transferred these pagan titles to MARY. So the titles THE VIRGIN, THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN, MY LADY, MADONNA AND MOTHER OF GOD that were given to Mary were not Christian titles, but titles derived from the Baal goddesses. Integrating goddess worship with the worship of Jesus greatly confused and corrupted Christianity. This goddess inclusion opened the door for Christianity to be accepted throughout the world.

It is incredible that Mary, the mother of Jesus, a godly and virtuous woman, was given Semaramis' titles, seeing that Semaramis was a prostitute and was Baal's 'Queen of Heaven'. Baal was the enemy of God. Mary's Son Jesus came to this world for the purpose of destroying the works of the devil. 1 Jn 3:8. Mary would have never joined in the Baal religion which was adversarial to her Son and behind His crucifixion.

Perhaps the greatest example of the continuation of Baal today is the practice of worshipping STATUES OF MARY HOLDING BABY JESUS IN HER ARMS. This is nothing but copying THE STATUES OF SEMARAMIS HOLDING TAMMUZ IN HER ARMS.

In the pagan religions, THE MOTHER WAS WORSHIPPED AS MUCH OR MORE THAN HER SON. Many archaeologist cannot tell the difference between the statues of the Babylonian Mother and Child and that of Mary and her child. How could this happen?

It is unbelievable that MARY, Jesus Christ's mother, now has been given the titlesTHE VIRGIN, THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN, THE MOTHER OF GOD, MY LADY and she is now PRAYED TO and WORSHIPPED EXACTLY like the QUEEN OF HEAVEN ASHTAROTH OF BAAL was worshipped.

'THE VIRGIN' AND 'THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN' SPREAD AT THE TIME WHEN GOD CONFUSED THE LANGUAGE AT BABYLON. The people there scattered throughout the earth taking with them their Baal religion. This is why sexual immorality has been worldwide because it was a part of the doctrines of Baal, and done in the name of religion. 1 Tim 4:1

Actually there is just ONE Queen of Heaven who was just given different names:Virgo, Ishtar, Isis, Semaramis, Ashtaroth, Aphrodite, Venus, etc. All of these ancient Queens of Heaven were temple PROSTITUTES . (IT IS INDISPUTABLE THAT MARY WAS NOT A PROSTITUTE).

The book of Revelation speaks about the GREAT WHORE. Revelation 17:1-6 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of THE GREAT WHORE that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication . So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her FORNICATION: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Revelation 18:1-10 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, BABYLON THE GREAT IS FALLEN, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit A QUEEN, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come."

The reason the Virgin, the Queen of Heaven has been accepted through out the world is that Mary has just taken the place of the goddesses the people were already worshipping. The people really didn't have to change except the semantics. Their goddesses just were renamed, Mary.

This is why Mary is worshipped throughout the world. She is called THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN, THE VIRGIN, MADONNA and is literally looked to as a goddess.

When Christianity first spread throughout the world it was strongly resisted because it was a threat to the worship of THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN and idolatry.

*Acts 19:27 "So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom ALL ASIA AND THE WORLD WORSHIPPETH."

Goddess worship became "christianized" when Mary was given goddess status. The new corrupted Christian leaders of that age realized they could make many converts of the pagans if they made Mary a goddess. Making statues of Mary would make it now difficult for Christians to preach against idolatry like the Apostle Paul had done. The adulation the pagans gave to their mother goddesses slowly was transferred to Mary. This made Christianity acceptable.

The "adulation of MARY" and idolatry WAS NOT A PART OF THE EARLY CHRISTIAN FAITH. EARLY CHRISTIANITY WAS CENTERED ON JESUS.

EARLY CHRISTIANITY FOUGHT IDOLATRY . Acts 19:19

Acts 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.

1 Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

JESUS HIMSELF SPOKE OUT AGAINST THE WORSHIP OF HIS MOTHER MARY WHILE HE WAS ON EARTH.

A. Luke 11:27-28 And it came to pass, as Jesus spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him,Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But Jesus said, Yea rather, blessed are they that HEAR THE WORD OF GOD, AND KEEP IT.

So while the women started giving adulation to Mary like they had to their goddesses, Jesus immediately stopped it.

B. John 2:3 "And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: …And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine."

the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine."

John 2:4 'Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

SO MARY SAID unto the servants, WHATSOEVER MY SON JESUS TELLS YOU TO DO, DO IT! MARY MADE IT CLEAR THAT IT WAS HER SON, JESUS THEY WERE TO LOOK TO FOR MIRACLES AND NOT HER.

Mary didn't turn the water into wine, it was Jesus. Mary never told the people to look to her for an answer to their prayer. She always pointed everyone to Jesus.

Matthew 12:47-48 "Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, WHO IS MY MOTHER? and who are my brethren?" He told them it was those who hear His words and do them.

So it is very clear that Jesus was not promoting the worship of His mother.

We honor Mary. She was a virtuous woman that God used mightily to bring His Son into the world, but it is incredible that many stillmake statues of her; pray her; worship her; and give her the titles of pagan goddesses such as: ' the Virgin', 'the Queen of Heaven', 'Madonna' and 'The Mother of God', and 'Our Lady' that defies God's Word.

Many in some realms of Christianity pray to the statues of Mary and of Mary HOLDING BABY JESUS IN HER ARMS and also of other deceased religious figures.

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS IN EX 20 SAYS,

"THOU SHALT NOT MAKE BEFORE ME ANY GRAVEN IMAGE." That includes images of Jesus, Mary and his disciples.

MANY PRAY TO MARY, THE DISCIPLES AND OTHER DEPARTED RELIGIOUS LEADERS.

Listen! WHOEVER YOU PRAY TO OR WORSHIP YOU ARE MAKING A GOD.

10 COMMANDMENTS EX. 20 "THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME."

THROUGHTOUT THE BIBLE in the O.T. as well as the New, it shows that GOD HATES IDOLATRY. WE ARE NOT TO EVEN MAKE A GRAVEN IMAGE OF JESUS, MARY, PETER OR ANY OF THE APOSTLES.

Also, Jesus should not be portrayed on hanging dead on the cross . My friend, Jesus is no longer dead! This projects the image that Satan wants you to have of Jesus: that He is powerless, defeated, and dead. The truth is that Jesus rose from the dead and is alive to hear and answer our prayers today!

A STATUE OR IDOL IS MADE BY A MAN . THINK! STATUES HAVE EYES BUT CAN'T SEE; EARS, BUT CANNOT HEAR; MOUTHS, BUT CANNOT SPEAK.

SINCE THAT IS THE CASE, HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR AN INANIMATE STATUE WHICH IS A GRAVEN IMAGE OR IDOL, HEAR AND ANSWER YOUR PRAYER?

ROMANS 1:25 "WHO CHANGED THE TRUTH OF GOD INTO A LIE, AND WORSHIPPED AND SERVED THE CREATURE MORE THAN THE CREATOR,"

John 4:24 "GOD IS A SPIRIT: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

THE EMPHASIS IS TO BE ON JESUS, NOT on HIS MOTHER.

MARY WAS NOT THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD, BUT SHE WAS USED OF GOD TO BRING THE SAVIOR INTO THE WORLD.

HOW CAN MARY BE CONSIDERED 'THE VIRGIN' TODAY ? SHE WAS A VIRGIN WHEN SHE CONCEIVED JESUS BY THE HOLY GHOST; BUT THE BIBLICAL FACT IS THAT LATER MARY MARRIED JOSEPH AND THEY HAD OTHER CHILDREN TOGETHER. BY MARRYING JOSEPH AND HAVING OTHER NATURAL CHILDREN SHE COULD NO LONGER STILL BE CONSIDERED A VIRGIN.

IT IS UNBIBLICAL FOR US TO WORSHIP OR PRAY TO MARY. MARY IS NOT THE VIRGIN, THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN!

Mt. 6:9 JESUS SAID, When you pray, pray 'OUR FATHER who art in heaven…HE DIDN'T SAY PRAY 'OUR MOTHER'.

Jn 16:23 JESUS SAID, WHATSOEVER YE ASK THE FATHER IN MY NAME HE WILL GIVE IT YOU

MARY DIED AND WAS BURIED. THERE IS NO BIBLICAL RECORD THAT MARY WAS RESURRECTED, BUT THERE IS A BIBLICAL RECORD THAT HER SON JESUS CHRIST WAS.

There is no record in the Bible that MARY ASCENDED TO HEAVEN, BUT HER SON JESUS DID.

IT WASN'T MARY WHO OPENED BLINDED EYE, DEAF EARS, MADE THE LAME TO WALK, AND THE DEAD COME TO LIFE AGAIN, BUT HER SON JESUS DID.

IT WASN'T MARY WHO FORGAVE SINS, BUT HER SON JESUS DID.

1 Tim 2:5 THERE IS ONLY ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN. JESUS

THERE IS ONLY ONE REDEEMER WHO SHED HIS BLOOD ON THE CROSS TO CLEANSE US OF OUR SINS, IT WAS MARY'S SON. JESUS.

Millions in different religions today still worship THE VIRGIN, THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN, AND MADONNA. That worship comes from the ancient Baal religion. You can't mix worshipping THE VIRGIN, THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN with Christianity. THAT IS BAAL!

1 Kings 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, HOW LONG HALT YE BETWEEN TWO OPINIONS? IF THE LORD BE GOD, FOLLOW HIM: BUT IF BAAL, THEN FOLLOW HIM. And the people answered him not a word.

You cannot serve Jesus and mix Baal with it at the same time. CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHO YE SHALL SERVE. YOU CANNOT HAVE 2 MASTERS.

2 Corinthians 6:17 17 Wherefore come out from among them,97Y and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you to myself.

ASK GOD FOR FORGIVENESS FOR GOING GO BOTH WAYS. YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND BAAL AT THE SAME TIME!

JESUS SAID, YOU HOLD THE TRADITIONS OF MAN ABOVE THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD.
