 THE MARRIAGE OF CHRISTIANITY WITH BAALBy Loren Davis

THE HOSTILE BAAL TAKEOVER OF ISRAEL
*II Kings 10:20-21 “And Jehu said, PROCLAIM A SOLEMN ASSEMBLY FOR BAAL. And Jehu sent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was NOT A MAN LEFT THAT CAME NOT. And they came into the house of Baal; and THE HOUSE OF BAAL WAS FULL from one end to another.” *Acts
7:38-39 Regarding Israel: “To whom OUR FATHERS WOULD NOT OBEY, but thrust
him from them, and in THEIR HEARTS TURNED
BACK AGAIN INTO EGYPT.” *Acts 7:41 “And they made a calf in those days, and OFFERED SACRIFICE UNTO THE IDOL, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.” *Acts 7:42 “Then God turned, and gave them up to WORSHIP THE HOST OF HEAVEN (ancestors); as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?”
THE ISRAELITES BUILT AN ALTAR TO BAAL BESIDE THE ALTAR OF THE LORD
*Ezekiel 8:16 In Israel “…between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and THEY WORSHIPPED THE SUN TOWARD THE EAST.”
*Joshua 22:17 “Is the iniquity of Peor (Baal-Peor) too little for us, THERE WAS A PLAGUE IN THE CONGREGATION OF THE LORD.” *“But rebel not against the lord, ...in BUILDING AN ALTAR (to Baal-Peor) BESIDE THE ALTAR OF THE LORD.” verse 29 because they built an altar, (to Baal) BESIDE THE ALTAR OF THE LORD OUR GOD.” 2 Kings 10:18 Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.
These people did NOT TOTALLY REJECT JEHOVAH, they just FELT SO LIBERATED that they built an altar to Baal next to the altar of the Lord. They felt they could MIX THE TWO RELIGIONS and have it both ways. It was rebellion against God from His own people. GOD’S HOUSE BECAME CORRUPTED with the offerings, altars, doctrines, and symbols of Baal.
NOW THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED TO CHRISTIANITY
The Roman Empire had tried to conquer the world. Rome’s original name was Saturnia, which means “the City of Saturn”. Saturn was the Chaldean (Babylonian) god. Saturn was another name for Nimrod or Tammuz the originators of the Baal or Satanic religion. Rome was a Baal city. As Rome was reaching out to conquer the world it assimilated the religions and gods from the pagan countries it ruled. It was during this period when that Jesus the Messiah was born.
In 300 A.D. Constantine, a follower of Sol Invictus THE SUN GOD, wanted to become the emperor of Rome. To accomplish this he needed allies to conquer his rival Maximian. After scanning over his options, he noticed that there was a sizable block of Christians in Rome who were not politically committed. Realizing that they had been living under severe persecution; in poverty; and had been tortured and killed for the faith in Christ, he saw a window of opportunity to get more allies. Being an opportunist he approached the church leaders of Rome and offered them a deal which he told them would be mutually beneficial to the Roman church and himself.
He told the church leaders that if they would help him become emperor, in return he would stop Rome’s persecution of the Christians; give them their own temples and shrines; give them wealth; and let them have power sharing in his new government. Constantine told the church leaders that his only stipulation was that they should not be dogmatic on doctrine or dogma. They could still worship Jesus and he promised them if they agreed that he would convert to Christianity. Tired of the persecution, poverty, and weakness, and jumping at the opportunity of catching such a big fish, the church leaders of Rome ignored the warning signs of him still being a sun worshipper and agreed to the compromise.
As for Constantine’s conversion to Christianity, it was not along scriptural lines. It was said that he was actually in the pagan temple of Apollo when he had his vision or dream of a “LUMINATED CROSS”, (that is a CROSS MERGED WITH THE SUN). Constantine’s victory was not attributed to Jesus, but the pagan sun god.
In the aftermath of this Rome declared it was now a Christian city, but in practice its old pagan beliefs and practices never changed. Rome and Constantine’s conversions were in name only.
CONSTANTINE CONVERTED TO CHRISTIANITY ONLY FOR POLITICAL REASONS
His supposed conversion to Christianity is incorrect. The official state religion under Constantine was actually SUN WORSHIP and not Christianity, and he was its high priest. Sun worship came from the ancient pagan religion of Baal.
For Constantine, the acceptance of Christianity was done solely TO UNIFY TERRITORY, RELIGIONS, AND POLITICAL MOVEMENTS. It was under the Sol Invictus cult that CHRISTIANITY as a religion BEGAN TO BE ACCEPTED AND GROW, but THERE WAS A BIG PRICE THE EARLY ROMAN CHURCH HAD TO PAY.
IT WAS BELIEVED AT THIS TIME THAT THE ROMAN EMPERORS DESCENDED FROM THE GODS
Politically, according to the tradition of the emperors, Constantine had to identify with some god to establish a new divine mandate supporting his legitimacy and right to reign as Emperor. Constantine chose Christianity, at least on a nominal level and kept his agreement with the Roman Church.
However, “Jesus, actually played no part whatsoever in Constantine’s religion. He ignored Jesus completely and just talked of the Father who was in his mind Sol Invictus, the sun god.”
The Roman Bishop Eusebius “declared that the logos (the written Word of God) was incarnate in Constantine.” He gave Constantine a status that belongs to Jesus Christ alone. Constantine put all religions and gods on an equal footing, but his own personal god however was the sun god.
This new Christianity that evolved was closer to many pagan doctrines with Christianity’s Judaic-Christian origins and practices that SUN WORSHIP. It became a hybrid religion.
Constantine INTENTIONALLY BLURRED DISTINCTIONS BETWEEN CHRISTIANITY AND SOL INVICTUS THE SUN GOD, which was from Baal, for the purpose of unifying Rome. In so doing, he would build a Christian church in one part of Rome, and erect statues to the Mother goddess Cybele and of Sol Invictus the sun god in another part of the city. It was a clever ECUMENICAL maneuvering where THE MAIN EMPHASIS WAS ON TOLERANCE, ONENESS and UNITY. Faith for Constantine was a political matter and any compromise was justified for his political ends. 300 A.D.
THE CHURCH of ROME WENT INTO PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SAME EMPIRE WHICH HAD OPENLY OPPOSED, TORTURED AND CRUCIFIED JESUS and had so unmercifully persecuted Christians for three centuries.
The Edict of Milan in 313 A.D. stopped the persecution of Christianity in the empire. This also made Constantine like a savior or messiah to many Christians. The Christians of Roman fell at his feet.
Constantine also gave certain privileges to the Church of Rome and allowed its leadership to be a part of his political administration. This opened the door for THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH TO CONSOLIDATE ITS AUTHORITY. The Roman church proclaimed that now Rome was the official headquarters of Christianity. A new declaration was given that ANY DEVIATION FROM THE ROMAN CHURCH’S ORTHODOXY WOULD BE SEEN AS HERESY. Roman Church’s doctrines were DECIDED BY A VOTE FROM THE CHURCH COUNCIL which was created by Constantine.
Although there had been some compromises in pockets of Christianity in the past, this was THE FORMAL BEGINNING of the greatest and most SYSTEMATIC TEARING DOWN OF ORIGINAL CHRISTIANITY. This was the official beginning of the great apostasy of the Church. Constantine reigned in the Roman Empire from 312 A.D. until his death in 337 A.D. THIS PERIOD was THE PIVOTAL POINT when CHRISTIANITY BEGAN to change. Religious tradition portrays Constantine as a convert to Christianity and attributes to him the “Christianizing” of the Roman Empire and making it the state religion. After this MARRIAGE BETWEEN THE ROMAN EMPIRE AND THE ROMAN CHURCH, the Roman Church leaders became drunk with their new power and wealth.
THIS BEGAN THE INTEGRATION OF BAAL WITH CHRISTIANITY
The pagan temples of Rome were turned over to the Church of Rome by the government and called Christian temples. Instead of removing the symbols of the sun god and statues of the Mother Goddess, Constantine convinced the church leaders to convert these idols into Christian saints and to give them Christian names. He also seduced them to retain the symbols of the sun and mix them with Christian symbols. The church leaders accepted this, not willing to lose their new found wealth and power. The Roman Empire and the Roman Church became one. The sun religion of Baal had so co-mingled with Christianity that soon the Roman Baal religion took Christianity’s name and lost its identity, but Christianity took on the doctrines of Baal. Instead of the christianization of the pagans, this move cleverly PAGANIZED CHRISTIANITY. This new hybrid religion was the first politically correct religion. Baal and Christianity, two formerly adversarial religions, made peace, united and became one.
THE PRINCIPLE OF MESSIAHSHIP REDEFINED
It is inconceivable to comprehend why the Roman Church would accept Constantine’s total indifference to Jesus. They allowed Constantine to take on a carnal political and military messianic role. What motivated the Roman Church to adopt such an unscriptural theological position that Constantine took? From this moment the Roman Church, under the pressure of Constantine, began to move away from and distort Christ and his teachings. The truths of early Christianity began to systematically and theologically be spun away. This was the deathblow for the Roman Church’s stand for original Christianity. Church of Rome sold out for money and power.
CONSTANTINE CLAIMED TO BE THE TRUE MESSIAH
Although Constantine IGNORED JESUS, he accepted the “principle of messiahship” and took on the role as “THE ANOINTED ONE”, THE MESSIAH for himself. The messiah to him meant a sovereign ruler, a warrior leader who WOULD REIGN ON EARTH. From Constantine’s viewpoint, Jesus made a feeble attempt to be this messiah but failed. HE DID NOT LOOK AT JESUS AS THE PROMISED MESSIAH FROM GOD. He only looked at Him from a political perspective and did not believe in the scriptural account of Jesus being the only begotten Son of God. He believed that David was the messiah for his generation; Solomon was the messiah for his generation; that Jesus tried to be the messiah for His generation; and now HE WOULD BE THE MESSIAH FOR HIS GENERATION. CONSTANTINE TRIED TO BECOME THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROPHECIES ABOUT THE WRATHFUL KING of the Book of Revelation who would conquer all.
The Roman Church did not challenge Constantine’s claim of being this perverted earthly messiah. It did not want to risk its new found wealth and power. The Roman Church even sanctioned the role that Constantine gave himself. It agreed with HIS CLAIM OF BEING THE TRUE MESSIAH who was more successful than Jesus.
THE IDEA OF A POPE CAME AT THE TIME OF CONSTANTINE
When the Roman Empire conquered the world, it merged with the Babylonian religious system. In 63 B.C. the concept of a Supreme Pontiff or Pontifex Maximus became the title of the Emperor Caesar. Subsequent emperors of Rome (Constantine included) took the title and office of PONTIFEX MAXIMUS.
Historically, Constantine, not Peter was in all reality the first Pope of the Roman Church. At Constantine’s insistence, the Roman Church agreed to anoint him as the infallible monarch, and gave him the position that should only belong to Christ. Constantine changed his title from Emperor to Pope, and became head of the Roman Church (although it was never publicly announced) as well as head of state. Under the new title he continued to carry out the traditional responsibilities of the Roman emperor with a new “Christian” religious twist to it. This was the merging of church and state. This strategy of changing his title confused and disarmed Rome’s enemies who assumed that the Roman Empire had died. That intentionally became the official story line in history. Now the Roman Empire could operate under the guise of being a church, and no one would suspect that the Roman Empire was still alive and still had ambitions to rule the world.
Constantine demanded to be recognized as a deity and worshipped as a god like the emperors who preceded him. It was considered heresy for anyone to question him. The word of an emperor was infallible, and he transferred that position of infallibility to his new position. The Head of the Roman Church IS NOW CALLED SUPREME PONTIFF, PONTIFEX MAXIMUS, the same title that the Roman Emperors held.
By succession and Church tradition, the ensuing Heads of the Roman Church that followed him took on the same mystical position as Constantine, as A TEMPORAL INFALLIBLE MESSIAH. All Heads of the Roman Church are voted in by the Roman Church Council. The precedents Constantine laid out have been carbon copied by the rest of the Heads of the Church throughout the centuries. (Their position was said to be INFALLIBLE, not unlike the Pharaohs of Egypt).
TAKING CHRIST’S PLACE
The Head of the Roman Church took on such titles as: Sovereign Pontiff of Bishops, High Priest, Chief of the Church in the World, Most Holy Lord, and Vicar of Christ. One of them said, “WE HOLD UPON EARTH THE PLACE OF GOD ALMIGHTY.” During one of the Church’s Council it was proclaimed: THE HEAD OF THE ROMAN CHURCH IS CHRIST IN OFFICE, CHRIST IN JURISDICTION AND POWER…...WE BOW DOWN BEFORE THY VOICE, AS BEFORE THE VOICE OF CHRIST, the god of truth; IN CLINGING TO THEE, WE CLING TO CHRIST”.
Bishop Eusebius said, “since the beginning of the world Constantine alone had been given the power to bring salvation. Christ is set aside, is excluded, and now is formally denied. Constantine stands now as the savior of the world, spiritually and materially. He proclaimed that the world was not saved before he came.”
THE HEAD OF THE ROMAN CHURCH CONSIDERS HIMSELF TO BE THE EMBODIMENT OF JESUS CHRIST. It is interesting to note that the pagan Caesar’s of Rome were called “our Lord and God”. Many extol the greatness of Rome under the Caesars, but claim it is now even greater under the Church. Alexander VI said, concerning this statement, “The former was a man, this is a god!” He said that the Head of the Roman Church is not just the only representative of Jesus Christ, they say he IS Jesus Christ himself, hidden under the veil of the flesh.” He said, “When the head of the Church speaks? “it is Jesus Christ who speaks”. His words are THE WORD OF GOD. The Head of the Church is now called “most holy and blessed Father! Head of the church, RULER OF THE WORLD to whom the keys to the kingdom of heaven...and all that the world adores. We specially venerate, worship, and adore thee!” A well known historian said, “To make war against the Head of the Roman Church is to make war against God, because God IS the leader of the Church, and he is God! He can do all things God can do!” Although the Roman Church says that Peter was its first leader, there is no record of that in the Bible. Peter’s ministry was to the circumcision, the Jews. Paul’s was to Rome.
LOOK ALSO AT THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND
The KINGS and QUEENS of England are not considered only the Head of State, they also are known as the Head of the Church of England. They are considered INFALLIBLE. The Church of England broke off from the Roman Church, but remained similar in many ways. The Anglican Church is the State Church of England. In their history neither the Roman Church nor the Church of England gave religious freedom to their citizens. This is the primary reason why so many immigrated to America. The Anglican Church is now talking about reuniting with the Roman Church.
The Church of England designs its cathedrals with similar architecture as the Roman Church, including obelisks, sun symbols and arches. Westminster Abbey Church in London is FILLED WITH THE BONES OF ITS HEROES. Great Britain colonized much of the world, and in the name of Christianity and claimed the lands and resources of Africa, India, and America among many others. Most of the colonization and plundering was done on the heels of what they called their mission’s work. How can a nation that is supposed to be Christian steal and kill like they did in colonial times? Their behavior was totally opposite of what the Bible says a Christian should be. No wonder the pagans thought that Christians were terrible people and wouldn’t convert, or their conversion most often was imposed and not genuine. It was said that the sun never set on the British Empire. Because of their FORCIBLE conquests, the British Empire negatively impacted the perception of Christianity throughout the world. Today the majority of people in Great Britain have openly rejected Jesus and the Bible. Looking at Great Britain’s history, it is easy to understand why the enemies of Christianity have had a relatively easy time of building a case against Christianity to this new generation of Brits.
THE HARLOT IMPOSTER CHURCH
THE HARLOT CHURCH IS THE ENEMY OF THE TRUE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST. GOD INTENDED FOR HIS CHURCH TO BE RIGHTEOUS, HOLY, PURE, AND TO FOLLOW TRUTH. HE NEVER INTENDED IT TO BE A HARLOT, going to bed with Baal and every religion and custom.
The Bible uses symbolic language and calls The Church a “woman”. The true church is like a bride, a chaste virgin, without spot or blemish. *Revelation 19:7-8 “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for THE MARRIAGE of THE LAMB is come, and HIS WIFE (The Church) hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” *Ephesians 5:27-32 “That he might present it to himself A GLORIOUS CHURCH, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord THE CHURCH: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I SPEAK CONCERNING Christ and THE CHURCH.”
Christian denominations and ministers began to substitute their ideas, methodology, and theology for the Word of God. Even before the New Testament was ever written, attempts were made to merge pagan beliefs with Christianity.
Christianity was so powerful that it turned the world upside down. It did so because IT WAS DIFFERENT. It had TRUTH and its spirit and message of hope and deliverance was extremely powerful. *Acts 17:6 However, before long, ministers began to set themselves up as ”lords” over God’s people in place of the Holy Spirit. This is contrary to what scripture teaches. *1 Peter 5:3 “Neither as being lords over God’s heritage,”. Christ alone was to be the Head of the Church. *2 Thessalonians. 2:3,7; I Timothy 4:2. The Apostle Paul wrote that the “mystery of iniquity” was already working, and warned that there would come a “falling away” because some would “depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils”, which were these pagan doctrines.
DETECTING BAAL
*MARY HAS BEEN GIVEN THE TITLE QUEEN OF HEAVEN and is worshipped. This is mixing Baal with Christianity. *The Roman Church defies the 10 C’s and makes graven images or idols out of Jesus, Mary and saints. This is mixing Baal with Christianity. *The Roman Church in its communion says taking the wafer and wine is actually eating the actual body of Jesus and drinking his blood. This is TRANSUBSTANTION and is mixing Baal with Christianity. *Praying to the saints is praying to ancestors, the host of heaven. This is breaking the 10 C’s that commands not to have any other gods. Whoever you pray to you are making a god. This is mixing Baal with Christianity.
BAAL WORSHIP MANIFESTS UNDER MANY DIFFERENT DISGUISES, LABELS AND RELIGIONS. It has infiltrated even into Protestantism. Any religion or society today that has one or more of the following practices or symbols is connected to Baal in one way or another.
Any religion which worships the sun, moon, stars, ancestors, idols, bulls, the Queen of Heaven; goddesses, deifies man, practices astrology, idolatry, drunkenness, prostitution, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, human sacrifice (in any form); is violent, unmerciful, practices sorcery; has psychics; uses “sun disks”; believes in the 100% sovereignty of God; uses obelisks; their main emphasis is on the development of culture and the arts, and not on the character of man; has false prophets; and does not believe that Jesus the Christ came in the flesh, are indicators that these churches are mixing with Baal to one degree or another. Revelation 2:14.
Revelation 2:14 speaks of the Doctrines of Baal or doctrines of devils. If the different religions believe the same basic doctrines they have been infiltrated by Baal, Satan. Satan seduces God’s people discretely to get them to compromise with him. He will be very patient and wait, maybe even decades or hundreds or thousands of years to achieve his objectives. He desensitizes people and makes blurry the differences between his doctrines and God’s doctrines until he gets in the position to go for a TOTAL TAKEOVER. When the time is right he becomes completely INTOLERANT of any trace of God’s doctrines and ways. If they have the same symbols and mores, IT IS NOT DIFFICULT TO CONCLUDE THAT THEY ARE THE SAME RELIGION. Semantics and variation of style are the only things that really differentiates them.
THE EARLY CHURCH WAS DIFFERENT, IT REFUSED TO COMPROMISE
Christianity came directly up against this Babylonian religion in its different forms. It openly challenged its beliefs presenting them with A CLEAR CUT ALTERNATIVE. The early Christians at Rome refused to compromise with the pagans even if it cost them their earthly possessions and their lives.
THE APOSTLE PAUL WARNED THE EARLY CHURCH OF UNGODLY MEN WHO WOULD TRY TO DISTORT THE FAITH *In Jude verses 1, 3,and 4, believers are warned, “…that ye should CONTEND FOR THE FAITH which was ONCE DELIVERED UNTO THE SAINTS. For there are CERTAIN MEN CREPT IN UNAWARES, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, UNGODLY MEN.”
God said you can’t mix fresh water and salt or the water will be polluted.
1 Kings 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
You cannot serve Jesus and love the devil at the same time. CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHO YE SHALL SERVE. YOU CANNOT HAVE 2 MASTERS.
